Depuis le 21 août 2023, tous les véhicules nouvellement immatriculés de plus de 3,5 tonnes doivent être équipés du tachygraphe intelligent de « deuxième version » en tant qu'appareil de contrôle, afin de se conformer aux dispositions du Paquet Mobilité de l'UE. Le VDO DTCO 4.1b répond parfaitement à ces exigences légales. Il fournit des données fiables permettant un suivi plus efficace du transport international de marchandises ainsi que de nombreuses autres applications de gestion optimisée de flotte.

Pour les véhicules effectuant des trajets internationaux, le DTCO 4.1b supprime la nécessité de s'arrêter à la frontière. En effet, grâce à l'utilisation de données sécurisées et authentifiées par OSNMA provenant du système européen de radionavigation par satellite Galileo, la position du véhicule et les franchissements de frontière sont automatiquement détectés via un module GNSS (système mondial de navigation par satellite) étendu, puis enregistrés dans la mémoire de masse.

Depuis le 21 août 2023, la deuxième version du tachygraphe intelligent est obligatoire pour tous les véhicules de plus de 3,5 tonnes nouvellement immatriculés. D'ici juillet 2026, tous les véhicules utilitaires de plus de 2,5 tonnes effectuant du transport international devront être progressivement équipés du DTCO 4.1b.

The Bluetooth interface integrated into the DTCO 4.1b makes it particularly easy to manage and download the tachograph with external devices such as smartphones. The VDO Fleet App is available for both iOS and Android and is linked to our VDO Fleet management platform, so that, for example, the legally required data downloads and manual entries can be carried out easily and efficiently.

The VDO DTCO 4.1 in a Renault T480 TC high

One of the first vehicles to be equipped with the VDO DTCO 4.1 at the official launch of the smart tachograph (V2) is the white Renault T480 TC high. The vehicle, sold by Renault Trucks dealer Polsad Jacek Korczak of Kutno, was delivered to Domart Sp. J. Dariusz Pilarski Grzegorz Pilarski of Turek, thus adding to the fleet of 10 trucks so far on the road with tarpaulins and refrigerated trailers, in international traffic in Western Europe.

The calibration of this state-of-the-art tachograph was carried out at the Kutno branch of TIR Serwis Andrzej Piorun and Anna Piorun using the latest VDO WorkshopTab 2 and implementing the latest updates provided in the service contract for VDO workshop equipment. With the service contract, the workshop has access to the latest updates of the VDO WorkshopTab tablet as part of a fixed, low fee for participating in the VDO Partner service network.

The latest smart tachograph from VDO automatically records border crossings and supports loading and unloading operations as well as enabling communication with intelligent transport systems via Bluetooth. When the vehicle returns to the workshop for its first mandatory tachograph inspection and calibration, a simple software update can give its tachograph the full functionality of the DTCO 4.1a.
